On Friday, February 19, the Oakleigh Grammar School in Melbourne held its annual Student Day. The students and specifically the new student leaders were the principal persons for the school year 2021.
Each year, a delegation of students from the fifth grade of elementary school to the third grade of lyceum is elected by the school and assumes the role of student leadership. Elected leaders are committed to upholding the morals and values of the Oakleigh Grammar School and passing them on to their classmates. At the same time, they take the responsibility to serve the needs of their classmates and, through their student’s voice, to convey reflections, remarks and ideas to those in charge for the progress of the School as reported by vema.com.au.
This year, due to the restrictive measures in force in the State of Victoria, each school unit held a separate event. The priest in charge of the Church of Agioi Anargyroi, Fr. George Adamakis, sent an online message to the students, expressing his congratulations to the new leaders and emphasizing that the responsibility they have taken is very great, but with faith and hard work they will succeed.
The management of the School congratulated all the students for their election and for their participation in the Student Leadership of 2021 and wished them much success in the term.
