The Greek Government expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.
According to an announcement by government spokesman St. Petsas, the Greek Prime Minister met with Archbishop Ieronymos on Saturday, November 14. The meeting was preceded by a Covid-19 test which came out negative for both the Prime Minister and the Archbishop. The Prime Minister underwent another test before his departure for the United Arab Emirates, which was also negative. Greek Prime Minister’s testing is continuous and strictly follows the health protocols.
As stated by the representative of the Archbishop Haris Konidaris on SKAI, when Archbishop Ieronymos met with the Prime Minister, the Archbishop was not ill, he had taken the test and it came out negative. All the necessary measures were taken and when he showed mild symptoms, he did what his treating doctors suggested in consultation with Sotiris Tsiodras.
With these data, the recommendation of the experts is that there is no reason for preventive quarantine.
