Metropolitan Emmanuel of France celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Paris, followed by the doxology on the Ohi Day.
The ambassadors of Greece and Cyprus and the permanent representative to the OECD as well as French diplomats and authorities attended the doxology.
In his speech, the Metropolitan of France referred to the Ohi Day and the ordination of Belorussian Deacon Anton Gelyasov who was promoted to presbyterian.
In particular, the Metropolitan mentioned that clergymen of many nationalities serve the Holy Metropolis of France today, which is in line with the spirit of the Ecumenical Patriarchate that transcends national and linguistic barriers and condemns ethnophyletism.
