A delegation of the Synodical Office of Pilgrimage Tours of the Church of Greece departed today, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 for St. Petersburg (Russia), to participate in the International Tourism Fair.
The Delegation of the Synodical Office is comprised of Archimandrite Spyridon Katramados, Secretary, as the Head, and Protopresbyter Evangelos Fengoulis, Member of the Board of Directors.
The Church of Greece, in the framework of the Protocol of Cooperation between the Synodical Office of Pilgrimage Tours and the Ministry of Tourism, has been hosted in recent years at the International Tourism Exhibitions in Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) in the central pavilion of the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), along with other Greek co-exhibitors.
Up-to-date foreign language (Russian, English, etc.) printed and audiovisual material will be available on the specially designed space for the Holy Monasteries and Pilgrimages of the Metropolises of the Church of Greece.
The opening of the Greek Pavilion at the Exhibition will take place with the presence of the Consul of Greece in St. Petersburg and Mr. Polykarpos Efstathiou, Director of the Russian EOT Office.
The Delegation of the Church of Greece will remain in St. Petersburg until Friday, September 13, 2019. During this time, meetings will be held with Ecclesiastical and other Russian State and Private Bodies and Tourism professionals.
