Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece attended the swearing-in ceremony of Attica Regional Governor Giorgos Patoulis on Thursday afternoon.
Archbishop was accompanied by Protosyncellus of the Archdiocese of Athens Bishop Symeon of Thespies. Metropolitans Seraphim of Piraeus, Kyrillos of Kifissia, Marousi and Oropos, Gabriel of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia, Konstantinos of Megara and Salamis, Klimis of Peristeri attended the ceremony. Metropolitan Amfilochios of Adrianople was also present as representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Athens. Metropolitan Georgios of Guinea attended the ceremony as representative of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria.
After the swearing-in ceremony, the Archbishop congratulated Giorgos Patoulis and the members of the Regional Council and wished them much success.
