Metropolitan Nektarios of Kition was born in Larnaca on January 15, 1969. He studied theology at the University of Thessaloniki.
In 1996 he received his first degree of priesthood at St. George Kontos Monastery, and two years later, in 1998, he was ordained a monk at the Monastery of St. George Montenegro by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Kition.
In 2005 he was awarded a MA from the SOAS University of London. In the same year he was ordained Archimandrite by Archbishop Gregorios of Thyatira and Great Britain, and was made Chief of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross and Archangel Michael in London until 2007.
Then he returned to Cyprus and was appointed Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolitan of Kition on January 1, 2008.
Upon the recommendation of Metropolitan Georgios of Paphos, he was unanimously elected Bishop of Arsinoe by the members of the Holy Synod on September 11, 2008. He was ordained Bishop by Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus on September 14, 2008.
