On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cyprus, Myron Nikolatos, accompanied a large group of judges from European countries to a visit to the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral and the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation – Byzantine Museum and Art Galleries.
Bishop Gregory of Mesaoria welcomed the judges at the Holy Archdiocese on behalf of Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus, who was abroad to an ecclesiastical mission.
The Bishop of Mesaoria welcomed Supreme Court President Myron Nikolatos and his guests. He passed on the wishes of the Archbishop and briefly described the historical course of 2,000 years of Christianity on the island and the structure and administration of the Church of Cyprus.
The Bishop of Mesaoria underlined the identification of the people with the Church, as well as the protection and support to the Cypriots to remain in their homeland.
After the traditional treat, Bishop Gregory offered books and other commemorative gifts to the guests as a blessing of the Archbishop of Cyprus.
For his part, President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cyprus Myron Nikolatos thanked Bishop Gregory of Mesaoria for his hospitality to the guests.
