More than three thousand people attended the celebration organized for the 36th year by the Archdiocese of Australia in Melbourne in view of the Twelvetide festive season.
The choirs of the parishes of the Archdiocese, of local organizations and associations, the Choir of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne and the Choirs of the Antiochian and the Romanian Churches of the wider reagion of Victoria, participated at the event, which was held in the Grand Hall of the City Hall of Melbourne.
In the end, Bishop Ezekiel of Dervi thanked the Archbishop for his presence, noting that people are thrilled this evening, because for the first time the Archbishop of Australia is present in this Christmas carols event, giving his blessing.
The Archbishop, obviously moved and excited, thanked the Bishop and conveyed the wishes and blessings of the Ecumenical Patriarch to those present, urging them to remain close to the Church.
