With the help of God and the blessing of our Virgin Mary, the planned project of painting the dome and niche of the church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in the city of Jeonju, South Korea, was successfully completed. This great work in scope and importance was done in only twenty working days, for which an iconographer if he worked alone, would have needed about a year.
This excellent result is, of course, due to the excellent cooperation, under the guidance of the renowned iconographer-professor Mr. Sozos Giannoudis, the forty-member team of iconographers and their assistants from Greece, Korea, Taiwan, and America, to whom we express our warmest thanks for their sacrificial offering. Thanks also go to the head of the Parish Fr. Hilarion Jeong and Presbytera Despina, as well as to all the members of the community, who worked with zeal and selflessness by preparing the daily food, running errands, and many other miscellaneous tasks.
