On Tuesday, April 25, the historic Prinkipo Orphanage was visited by the Oslo Society, an association founded in 1811 that plays an important role in preserving the cultural heritage of Oslo, Norway, and is an active member of the Europa Nostra Network (Oslo Byes Vel).
The 35 members, led by Ole Rikard Høisæther, Secretary General, and Christina Aas, Director of the Society,
were warmly welcomed by Archon Grand Hartofilax of The Great Church of Christ, Lakis Vigas, coordinator of the restoration project of the Orphanage. Afterwards, the architect Damla Acar, and Burçin Altınsay Özgüner, president of Icomos Turkey, gave the necessary briefing, giving technical details, for the first stage of the restoration that will be completed soon.
