On Sunday, 7 January 2024, the Feast of the Synaxis of Saint John the Baptist and Forerunner was celebrated at the Church of Saint Eustathios in Melbourne, where a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy took place, in which Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis presided, concelebrated by Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Melbourne. Joining also in the Divine Liturgy were Archimandrite Kyrillos Zisis and Deacon Dimitrios Drougas.
After the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Kyriakos conveyed to the congregation the blessings and feast day wishes of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
