Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the opening of the painting exhibition of the Athonite Hieromonk Luke Xenophontinos at the Sismanoglio Mansion in Constantinople on Tuesday, April 25, afternoon.
The Ecumenical Patriarch was welcomed by the Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, Georgia Sultanopoulou, along with the creator of the works, Fr. Luke, while the inauguration was attended by hierarchs, clergy, monks and nuns, and many guests.
The Ecumenical Patriarch congratulated Fr. Luke, who is also a distinguished hagiographer, for the sensitivity and excellent artistic imprint of the Holy Monasteries, the Monks, and the natural landscapes of Mount Athos in his works.
