On the Sunday of Orthodoxy, the restoration of the icons and the memory of Saint Prince Daniel in Moscow was celebrated with much pomp and circumstance.
The solemn Divine Liturgy was held at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, officiated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’.
Ministers, MPs, Party Representatives, Governors, Ambassadors, as well as a multitude of believers attended the Divine Liturgy.
The clergy triumphantly processed around the church, holding icons in memory of the final defeat of iconoclasm.
Finally, Patriarch Kirill wished everyone well for the remainder of Great Lent. In addition, he referred to the triumph of Orthodoxy, as well as to the life of Saint Prince Daniel.
