The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary was celebrated with pomp and situation, according to the Julian calendar, in the Vicariate for the Palestinian/Jordanian Orthodox Christian Communities of the Holy Archdiocese of America on Sunday, April 7.

Before a crowded congregation, Archimandrite stressed that “Christ becomes human and liberate us from the slavery of sin and death. The Lord calls us to experience true freedom, love, sacrificial giving and ministry.”
After the procession of the Holy Icon, Archimandrite held the sanctification rite for the commencement of the restoration work of the church and conveyed to all the attendants the blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the wishes of Archbishop Demetrios of America.
