On Sunday 5 March 2023, as we celebrated the Triumph of Orthodoxy, Sunday School classes resumed across Sydney with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
With their icons in hand, the Sunday School children and teachers celebrated the victory of our Orthodox Faith by joining the processions at their respective parishes. Agiasmos services were also conducted by the parish priests to bless the work of the Sunday Schools.
This was a most fitting day to resume Sunday School classes, through which each child learns about their most precious inheritance – their Orthodox Christian Faith. ‘This is the Faith of the Apostles. This is the Faith of the Fathers. This is the Faith of the Orthodox. This is the Faith on which the universe is established.’
