The United States is in constant contact with Greece and Ukraine, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said during a visit by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Odessa. The US State Department spokesman was asked at the regular press briefing about the US reaction.
Matthew Miller said, “We are in constant contact with both countries. I don’t have specific conversations to share with you. I think the strike is another reminder of how Russia continues to attack Ukraine on a daily basis. It’s a reminder of Ukraine’s need for air defense systems and a reminder that the U.S. Congress needs to take action, as we’ve asked them to do, to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.”
