As every year, St. George’s Day was piously celebrated during a Holy Service presided by Bishop Nikandros of Dorylaion at the homonymous Church of the Parish and the Community of St. George in Thebarton (former Theberton) inner-western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, in the city of West Torrens.
A crowd of believers swarmed the Holy Church and attended the Vesper on the eve and the Divine Liturgy on the day of the Feast of Saint George.
It is worth mentioning that a division of the Presidential Guard of Greece also participated at the celebration of St. George.
The Bishop preached the Divine Word, not only during the night at the Vesper but also during the day, at the Divine Service.
Bishop Nikandros expressed the gratitude of St. George Church (Adelaide’s largest Greek Orthodox Church) to the President of Hellenic Republic for his permission to send the division of the Greek Presidential Guard to attend the Holy Feast.
