The sanctification rite for the new school year took place this morning in an atmosphere of joy and optimism at the Achilopouleio and Ambetio schools.
The event took place in the schoolyard under strict protective measures against Covid-19 that included temperature measurements of all people entering the school premises and strict use of masks.
But apart from the strict protection imposed due to the pandemic that still plagues the whole planet, the atmosphere on the first school day was full of hope for the new school year.
The protagonists of the day were, of course, the new young students, who gathered the love and care of everyone for their new start today.
The sanctification rite was performed by Archimandrite Stefanos who conveyed the wishes and love of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and Metropolitan Nicodemus of Memphis. He wished the children a good and blessed school year during which to acquire knowledge. To cultivate themselves and acquire virtues, which will accompany them and will be their valuable helpers throughout their lives.
