A congratulation letter to the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ was sent by the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his enthronement.
Pope Francis in his letter expressed his brotherly wishes to the Patriarch, wishing God to give him abundant blessings and strength to continue his great work for the good of the Church of Russia.
The Pope also referred to their meeting in Havana, stressing that he recalled with great pleasure their meeting while he was grateful for his personal contribution to the strengthening of fraternal relationships between the two Churches.
Finally, the Pontiff said that he prayed for Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, underlining the importance of cooperation on issues that are of urgent concern to the whole world today.
