The solemn celebration of 950th anniversary of the monastery of Venerable Prohor of Pcinja was marked on the Eve of the feast day, October 31, 2019, with All-Night Vigil service officiated by Patriarch Irinej of Serbia.
The Patriarch concelebrated with the clergy of the Diocese of Vranje and clerics from other dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid also attended the Vigil service.
The next day, on the feast day, Bishop Marko of Bregalnica celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishops David of Stobi and Pahomije of Vranje, as well as of the priests of the Diocese of Vranje and guests from other dioceses of the Serbian Church, in a prayerful participation of Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid.
Next to many faithful, the Liturgy was attended by: Assistant Director of the Office for Churches and Religious Communities Branko Boric with associates, Mayor of Vranje Dejan Trickovic with associates, President of the Municipality of Trgoviste Nenad Krstic with his colleagues, commander of the 4th Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces Brigadier General Slobodan Stopa with associates, representatives of institutions, organizations and associations from the Pcinja county etc.
