Patriarch John X of Antioch congratulates the new Archbishop of Cyprus

His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, sent the following congratulatory letter to the new Archbishop of Cyprus, His Beatitude George:

“It is with great joy that I have learned about Your election to the renowned throne of the Church of Cyprus and to have received a brotherly letter from You, on December 27, 2022. I congratulate you in my name and in the name of the Church of Antioch.

I wish you from the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul, health and long life. I take the opportunity to express the depth of the historical relationship that binds the Church of Antioch and the Church of Cyprus and to wish You a glorious Nativity and a blessed year fruitful with the gifts and blessings of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, the Father of Lights and the God of all consolation”.
