Bishop Maximos of Melitene presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of the Virgin Mary Eleousa in Nottingham on Sunday, October 1.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Bishop presented to the congregation the new Priestly Superior of the church, Fr. Nikolaos Luke Karafyllidis.
The Bishop of Melitene conveyed the blessings of Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, to the new Superior and to the members of the Community of Nottingham, stressing the important pastoral work that has been accomplished in the past and the optimism for a bright future.
This was followed by a lunch in the Community Hall.
