Today, Petar Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, had a meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Fener.
During the meeting, were discussed issues related to “the life of the Mother Church and Christian Orthodox people living in Hungary”, while the Patriarch thanked the country’s government for the concession of a hall in the center of Budapest in order to meet the needs of the Exarchate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate there.
The Ambassador of Hungary to Ankara, Viktor Mátis, the country’s Consul General in Constantinople, Balázs Hendrich, associates of the minister, as well as the Metropolitans Augustin of Germany and Arsenios of Austria, who is also Exarch of Hungary and Secondary Niphon, attended the meeting as well.
