Our homeland is divided in small regions, Metropolitan Nektarios of Corfu, Paxos and Diapontia Islands.
In an event in Manduki, Metropolitan Nektarios stressed that at times like this, the era we are living in, in which nothing is immune to spiritual and moral degradation of society, there is a great need for solidarity between people.
He also said that everything happening every day in Greece is not merely a matter of chance, taking into consideration the geopolitical upheavals taking place both in the Eastern Mediterranean and in the Balkans.
We, as Orthodox Christians, have to be vigilant, with our heartfelt prayer and our participation in the Church’s sacraments, he noted.
