On the morning of Thursday, November 26, Archbishop Makarios of Australia went to Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney, where the tomb of the Blessed Archbishop Stylianos is, and performed a memorial service, praying for the repose of his soul.
Metropolitan Seraphim of Sebasteia, as well as clergy and faithful of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia attended the memorial service.
It is reminded that on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 25, Archbishop Makarios presided over the Great Vespers on the feast of St. Stylianos, at the namesake Holy Temple in the area of Gymea, and then performed a memorial service in favor of his blessed predecessor, Archbishop Stylianos, while referring with warm words to his personality and contribution in the progress of the local Church.
