On Sunday, 26 February 2023, in an atmosphere of reverence, at the Archdiocesan Church of Saint Eustathios, South Melbourne, Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and South Madagascar officiated at the Lenten Vespers of Forgiveness accompanied by Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis, Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, and the Clergy of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne. Also present was the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Emmanuel Kakavelakis.
Before the conclusion of the service, Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and South Madagascar conveyed the prayers and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia and expressed his heartfelt thanks to His Eminence for allowing him to officiate at the Vespers service. He also thanked Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis and Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis for their love and hospitality.
Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and South Madagascar, expressed the significance of the four Sunday Gospel readings leading into Great Lent and the importance of their message to guide us through the lenten period.
