With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia and under the guidance of Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, The Sunday Schools of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne are organizing an Easter Activity Day on Saturday, 1 April 2023, at the Parish – Community of the Holy Archangels, Mentone, Melbourne.
The event is aimed at children aged 3 to 12, who will have the opportunity to take part in a series of interesting and fun activities, such as dyeing red eggs, weaving a cross with palm leaves, decorating a candle, baking koulourakia and many more. These activities will help familiarise children with important traditions of Orthodoxy related to Holy Week and Easter.
In addition, it provides an excellent opportunity for the students of the Sunday Schools of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne to all come together, communicate and strengthen their bonds.
