Archbishop Makarios of Australia is in Greece and had a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The meeting of the Australian Archbishop with the Prime Minister was held at the Maximos Mansion and was in a particularly warm climate.
Archbishop Makarios was accompanied by Bishops Seraphim of Apollonias and Ezekiel of Dervi.
The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the new Australian Archbishop, wishing him well for his new ministry in distant Australia.
For his part, Archbishop Makarios thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting, stressing that it is always a great pleasure to meet him.
Finally, the two sides discussed a variety of issues regarding the Diaspora and the work of the Church in Australia.
