The ambassador of Great Britain in Greece, Kate Smith, visited Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias, on Thursday, September 26, at his office in the Conference Center of Thessaly.
During the meeting, the Metropolitan briefed Kate Smith on the work of the Local Church, placing particular emphasis on the effort to integrate and educate social groups. He also referred to the contribution of the Holy Metropolis to the smooth reception and accommodation of refugees and immigrants.
For her part, Ambassador Smith thanked the Metropolitan for the welcome and thorough information, and expressed her admiration for the work of the Local Church.
Today, the Ambassador will visit the multi-racial Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos of Anatoli in Agia.
