The Greek Community of Casablanca in Morocco celebrated solemnly the Holy Week and Easter Day in the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary.
Archimandrite Dr. Chrysostomos Volante performed the Holy Week liturgies, following the blessing he received from Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa.
Hundreds of people participated in all the Holy Week liturgies.
Particularly, Good Friday with the Epitaphios and the Easter Vigil with the Resurrection and Easter Day Liturgy were two very important days for the whole Orthodox Moroccan community.
Orthodox Greeks, Russians, Bulgarians and Romanians chanted the hymns in all languages. Catholics, Copts and Armenians believers who respected the Byzantine tradition and the Divine Liturgy were also present.
