A Hierarchical Synaxis of the Clergy of New South Wales was held on Wednesday, November 29, in Sydney, under the presidency of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, in the presence of Bishops Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Christodoulos of Magnesia and Bartholomew of Charioupolis.
In the context of the meeting, a brief review was made of the work of the 12th Clergy-Laity Assembly of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, which was successfully held in Sydney from 25 to 27 September 2023.
Archbishop Makarios informed the group of clergy about the successful organization of the 1st Conference on Bioethics of the Ecumenical Patriarchate (Rethymno, October 20-22, 2023) and expressed his thanks to those who contributed and supported its implementation.
Finally, issues of an administrative nature were discussed, for which the Archbishop gave directions, while the Priestly Synaxis concluded with the exchange of wishes in view of the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus Christ.
