Today, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Aikaterini Sakellaropoulou, contacted Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, thanked him for his whishes after taking up her duties and expressed her support for the trial of the expatriates, as well as of the Church, due to coronavirus.
The Ecumenical Patriarch thanked the President of the Republic for her solidarity and assured her that despite the difficulties we face, he is close to the faithful, taking advantage of the possibilities of digital media.
Mrs. Sakellaropoulou also thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for the assistance of the Patriarchate to Greece, for dealing with the pandemic.
Finally, she wished, both on a personal level and on behalf of all Greeks, the universal values of love and solidarity, which prevail these holy days, to help us overcome this crisis as soon as possible.
