“A visit to Jerusalem is meaningless unless you visit the Patriarchate and pay your respects to the Holy Sepulcher. I thank God that I was given this opportunity to travel to Jerusalem as prime minister of Greece during my first post-COVID-19 official trip,” said the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during his meeting with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem, immediately after his pilgrimage to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
“I would like to let you and the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood know that the Greek State will always be close to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and to the very important mission it is carrying out in this difficult but interesting city and region. I would like to reaffirm our unwavering love and support,” added Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who was accompanied by his spouse Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki and his son, Konstantinos Mitsotakis.
The prime minister visited all the premises of the church and met the members of the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood.
