Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Vlasis met with the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Greece, Archimandrite Damianos.
The subject of the discussion was, inter alia, the process of transfering and receiving the Holy Fire in Greece.
As the deputy minister stated on social media, this year the process will be different due to the extraordinary conditions that prevail due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, he assured that the Holy Fire will come to Greece as usual.
“This year the process may be simpler, but that does not mean that the Holy Fire will not enlighten the hearts of all Greeks.
This year we may not celebrate Easter as we would like, but we must put above all the health of all of us, so that we can all celebrate these days together,” he characteristically said.
