Greek Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of Greeks Abroad, Kostas Vlasis, highlighted the important role of the Patriarchates of Alexandria, Antioch and Jerusalem speaking at the 2nd International Conference on Religious Diplomacy titled ‘Religions and Challenges in the New Decade’, which was held online due to the coronavirus on 9 and 10 December.
During his greeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Vlasis stated: “In our quest for peaceful coexistence in the Middle East, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchates of Alexandria, Antioch and Jerusalem play an important role, which, despite the various challenges they face, have made friendly ties with the host countries but also with those of the wider region, and especially with the local communities. It is our priority to support them in their work.”
