On Saturday morning, March 30, in a tense atmosphere, there was held the Funeral Service of Archbishop Stylianos of Australia.
Assistant Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias, of the Archdiocese, presided the Divine Liturgy performed in front of the relic of Archbishop Stylianos.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was represented by Metropolitan Panteleimon of Vrioulon, who had served at the Archdiocese of Australia as an Assistant Bishop with the title “of Theoupolis”.
It should be mentioned that the Cathedral of Annunciation of Virgin Mary in Sydney was full of faithful, who rushed for the last goodbye to their Shepherd.
It was the wish of late Archbishop Stylianos that those who wish, instead of wreaths, make donations to St. Andreas Theological School, which was his favorite and made him especially proud of.
