Feast of Saint Gregory the Theologian was celebrated in Kireku in Mityana district

On January 25, 2023, Metropolitan Jeronymos of Kampala presided over the Divine Liturgy at St. Gregory Orthodox Church in Kireku in Mityana district as the parish celebrated their patronal feast day, the feast of Saint Gregory the Theologian, Archbishop of Constantinople.

Saint Gregory parish has a well-built church consecrated in 2020 by Bishop Silvester of Jinja (then Gulu) through the blessings of the late Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga of Kampala. It is currently under the pastoral care of Fr. George Kaleebu.
