An extraordinary synodal meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 15, at 12.00 noon, by the Holy Eparchial Synod of the Church of Crete, on the occasion of the government’s announcements for the operation of the temples during Christmas and New Year.
The synodal meeting, as announced, will take place in order for the Synod to give instructions and directions “to the holy clergy, the monastic fraternities and the pious people of the Church of Crete.
According to government spokesman, Stelios Petsas, the churches will open only on Christmas Day and the Feast of Theophany.
Petsas, presenting the road map for the opening of the market and the measures that will apply in the country in view of the holidays, underlined that during these two days the presence of up to nine people (9) will be allowed in all churches and up to twenty-five (25) people in the Metropolitan Churches in all regions of the country.
