Tayyip Erdogan took a provocative stance at the meeting of the Turkish cabinet on Monday, only hours before Tuesday’s teleconference with Angela Merkel and European Council President Charles Michel.
“Those who ignored us are now coming to the negotiating table for Cyprus, the Mediterranean and the Eastern Mediterranean. We want to discuss but our rights must not be violated, we want dialogue with “fair” proposals, otherwise we will not avoid any struggle. Our struggle started 2,000 years ago,” said the Turkish president, as reported by SKAI.
“Let’s take a look at our modern history… Those who stand tall in front of us will fall in the first storm like the hollow trees, our people know how to pay the price,” he added.
