Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was warmly welcomed at the central square of the Metropolitan Church of Saint Nikolaos in Volos by the Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias and Almyros.
Ecumenical Patriarch was also welcomed by: the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, the Mayor of Volos, Mr. Achilleas Beos and the pious flock of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros.
Soon, the Official Doxology will be held in the Metropolitan Church of Saint Nikolaos in Volos, during which the Ecumenical Patriarch will be mentioned by Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias and Almyros.

According to the official program of the visit of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Volos published by the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros, the Ecumenical Patriarch and His Entourage will visit on Friday the Municipal Theater of Volos, where an official reception will be held by the Mayor of Volos, Mr. Achilleas Beos. Afterwards, the Ecumenical Patriarch will perform the sanctification service during the Inauguration ceremony.
Finally, the Ecumenical Patriarch will go to the Holy Church of St. Konstantinou and Eleni in Volos. This will be followed by the sanctification service and the official opening of the “Nautical Week in Volos 2023”.
