Metropolitan Grigorios of Peristeri and Mayor Andreas Pachatouridis embarked on a significant visit to the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the historic Phanar district.
The occasion for this visit was twofold: the Jubilee celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Holy Metropolis of Peristeri and the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Municipality of Peristeri.
On Sunday, February 25, Metropolitan Grigorios and Mayor Andreas Pachatouridis had the honor of meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, a momentous occasion held at the esteemed seat of Orthodoxy and Hellenism. Mayor Pachatouridis shared the highlights of their meeting on social media, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the progress and future plans for their city with Patriarch Bartholomew and Metropolitan Grigorios.
During their discussion, they outlined the initiatives undertaken for the improvement of the city of Peristeri and outlined future endeavors for the upcoming term. Additionally, they extended a heartfelt invitation to Patriarch Bartholomew to join in the commemorative events for Peristeri’s 90th anniversary. It was with great joy that Patriarch Bartholomew accepted their invitation, expressing his intention to bless the celebrations with his presence during his forthcoming visit to Peristeri this spring.
