“Our work has started and it is important. I know that you have offered a lot to those affected by the summer natural disasters in Thessaly. I have also visited Thessaly three times myself. I have spoken about all my political views regarding love for fellow human beings. Christian values are in line with my political views. I would like to offer my fellow human beings a better life,” Stefanos Kasselakis told the Ecumenical Patriarch.
“I am glad to hear that, because love for our fellow human beings is a basic value of Christianity, the center of the Christian faith,” replied the Ecumenical Patriarch.
They also discussed initiatives for peace and observance of the international law in Ukraine and in the Middle East, as well as efforts made by the Ecumenical Patriarchate with regards to the protection of the environment.
