Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew departed today, Friday, June 16, from Constantinople to Tallinn, Estonia, in response to a relevant invitation from the leadership of the Conference of European Churches, in order to make the keynote speech at its General Assembly, which began its sitting yesterday and will be completed on June 20, 2023.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will address the General Assembly next Sunday, June 18, delivering a speech with the subject: “What are our Ecumenical tasks in future Europe?”
Ecumenical Patriarch Barthalomew is accompanied by Metropolitan Maximos of Switzerland, Bishop Raphael of Ilion and Grand Ecclesiarch Aetios, Director of the Private Patriarchal Office.
Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi was appointed Deputy of the Patriarch, who accompanied him to the City Airport, along with Grand Protosyncellos Theodore.
