The title of Honorary Doctorate of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” has been appointed to the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew.
As Andriy Meleshevych, president of the Academy, claimed in his personal site, “with the decision of the Academic Council of the National University of Kyiv-Mohila Academy, from the 20th of December 2018, His Holiness Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew was granted the title of Honorary Doctorate of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
Mr. Meleshevych also claims in his personal site that in this way the community of “Mohilyanka” “not only pays tribute to the religious ministry of the Head of worldwide Orthodoxy but also –above all– assessed His merits in science and dissemination of research”.
