Archbishop Eirinaios of Crete is still hospitalized at the University General Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, who had been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit on Monday, after the first week of his admission, and now he has been admitted to the Neurological Clinic of the hospital.
In an encyclical, as reported by vema.com.au, the Holy Eparchial Synod of the Church of Crete, first of all, extended warm thanks to the administration executives and the staff of the hospital for their tireless efforts and offer, both to Archbishop Eirinaios and to all the patients. Addressing the clergy, the monastic brotherhoods and the faithful of Crete, the Synod called on them to pray fervently for the health of the Archbishop.
“We are all called together these days, both the clergy and laity, to unite our prayers and supplications for the health of His Eminence Archbishop Eirinaios of Crete during the Divine Liturgy through services and prayers,” said the Holy Provincial Synod, among other things. The Synod also pointed out: “This is our duty and gratitude to our most respected Archbishop, who lives by practicing, fasting, praying all day and night for all the people.”
