An Archieratic Divine Liturgy was held early this morning, Tuesday, June 25, at the Holy Archdiocesan Chapel of St. Andreas, located within the courtyard of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens.
The Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese, Bishop Symeon of Thespies, officiated at the Divine Liturgy in the presence of the staff of the Holy Archdiocese, on the occasion of the five-year anniversary of his designation by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.
The Bishop of Thespies expressed his gratitude to the Archbishop of Athens for being lenient and tolerant, by assigning to him the duties of the Protosyncellus, for a period of five years. He also thanked all the Clergy brothers and the lay collaborators of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and of its Foundations and Services for their perfect and excellent co-operation.
“The honour of those who have ministered and still minister for the Church is an honour that comes to ourselves. Like us, everyone on their own side continue a relay of love and ministry that never ends. Whatever place we may be, it is our mission to please God and people. When we do this, then our mission is successful,” Bishop Symeon highlighted.
