With the blessing of Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, who is serving on the Holy and Sacred Synod of Constantinople this week, Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzos officiated the Lenten Contrition Vespers at the Saint George Church in Norwalk, CT.
The vesper service was offered on Sunday evening, March 5th assisted by the chancellor of the Archdiocesan District, Protopresbyter Elias G. Villis and area clergy.
Adding to the beauty of the service was the Archdiocesan District Byzantine Choir-Romanos the Melodist.
The next contrition vespers will be held on Sunday evening at the Saint Nicholas Church in Flushing, NY with Archbishop Elpidophoros officiating.
