Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, representing Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, visited the St. Luke Greek Orthodox Community in Broomall, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 9, 2022, for the Annual Delaware Valley Region GOYA Sights and Sounds Festival.
This annual event brought together over 250 GOYAns from throughout the Delaware Valley and Northern New Jersey Regions of the sacred Metropolis of New Jersey in celebration of their tremendous abilities in the areas of the arts, music, singing, acting, dancing, and Greek dancing.
Bishop Apostolos, accompanied by Archdeacon Philotheos Tomczewski, opened the program by celebrating the Agiasmos Service together with some of the area clergy including regional Vicar, Fr. Anastasios Bourantas, Fr. Christ Kontos, Fr. John Johns, Fr. Peter Thornberg, Fr. Philemon Patitsas and Fr. Gregory Gilbert. Following the blessing of the waters, Bishop Apostolos had the wonderful opportunity to witness the many talents of the youth and offer congratulations and recognition to them for their hard work and efforts.
