On March 11, Bishop Sylvester of Gulu and Eastern Uganda, together with some clergy in Gulu, held a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity, the Office of Religious Affairs.
The representatives from the ministry presented to Bishop Sylvester and his council the government program of working more closely with the faith institutions in matters of common concern for the good of the people and the development of the country.
Bishop Sylvester welcomed them and noted that the Church was always open and happy to work together in anything concerning the development of Ugandan people, more so, for things beneficial for the souls of the people of God and the peace in the world, as this was always the Prayer of the Orthodox Church.
