On the day of the Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the Holy Monastery of Our Lady of Chrysorroiatissa, in the mountainous Paphos, Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus presided the Archieratic Divine Liturgy, assisted by the new Abbot of the Holy Monastery, Archimandrite Pagratios, the Abbot of the Monastery of Apostle Varnava Archimandrite Ioannis Ioannou and other clergymen of the Holy Archdiocese.
Archbishop of Cyprus was welcomed by the newly appointed Abbot of the Monastery, Archimandrite Pagratios along with Archimandrite Dionysios.
Hundreds of pilgrims arrived today at the Monastery of Chrysorroiaitissa to light a candle on the Grace of Our Lady and lay their demands on Theotokos.
The Divine Word was proclaimed by the Archbishop, who referred extensively to this great Feast of the Mother of God, urging the congregation, which had overwhelmed the monastery’s Cathedral, to always place its hope in the sole protection of the faithful, Our Lady.
